The exquisitely stellar nature of the 2018 vintage gave way to a new wine in the Ellman suite - and an opportunity to honor the matriarch of the Ellman family, Elaine. This is the inaugural release of a hyper finite selection of the best barrels in our cellar, the crème de la crème if you will, and we certainly did. The result is an ethereal wine - opaque, silky, and precise. Profuse aromatics of bramble fruits, violet, forest floor, and cedar are the entrée to a palate effuse with Chelan cherries, cassis, oolong, and nutmeg, harkening images of traipsing the petrichor. Its focused extraction and balanced framework give way to a lingering finish, with plush tannins. To be enjoyed in the most celebratory of moments with your closest cohorts in tow.
